From the moment we take our first breath, our lives are full of firsts.

First word. First step. First birthday.

First day of school. First report card. First place.

First job. First car. First kiss.

Some firsts just happen – our first smile. Other firsts take practice – riding our bike with no hands. Sometimes they require a lot of thinking – moving out on our own.

In the beginning, our firsts are accomplished without our notice. But as we grow and become conscious of our world, firsts move to a whole new level. Feelings run high. Excited, nervous, happy all intertwine with every new first.

Today I have another first, the launch of my website for PS 2710. Never in my dreams of becoming a published author did I see this coming. Yet here it is, along with all of the emotions.

Excited?    Butterflies in my stomach.

Nervous?    Pacing around the house.

Proud?     Smile that won’t stop.

All of this because I am in the middle of a first.  Officially. I am putting out to the world at large that Penelope Kaye is a writer.

Am I ready for this first? I’m not sure. Is the world ready for this first? At this point the world doesn’t even know I exist. But ready or not, this first is here – the first of many as I share my adventures with you, my readers. Welcome to PS 2710.com
