The Lord Is Waiting!

Hello, my dear friend!

I’m so excited to share today’s message of hope! The scripture we’re going to look at is Isaiah 30:18:

Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him. (NKJV)

Since we started this journey on waiting, the emphasis has been on us waiting on the Lord, waiting for the Lord, waiting before the Lord, etc. Today, we see the Lord waiting for us. Why? So he can be gracious to us. In other words, he’s waiting to pour out his wonderful khesed-agape love upon us in manifested, tangible ways.

But the next question that comes to mind is this: What is he waiting for? He is Almighty God, after all. He really doesn’t need our permission to show us his love. Or does he?

What if . . .

we have a twisted view of God due to childhood abuse and don’t know how to receive blessings?

we think we have to prove that we can handle everything and don’t need anyone, including God?

we don’t want to be dependent on anyone, especially God?

we have major trust issues because of betrayals?

You can probably add some of your own personal reasons. But the good news is God does wait. He doesn’t walk away from us. He doesn’t get frustrated with us. He doesn’t complain about us. He waits.

I don’t know about you, but I’m going to press in and make sure I’m not giving him one second longer to pour out his khesed-agape love on me. How about you?

Going back over some messages. The 1st thing that hit me about God waiting for me was guilt. He is waiting for me to obey Him regarding a couple issues. Every time I partake in these strongholds, I feel like I hurt God's heart. You would think that would be enough to make me quit?????
