Monday's Message of Hope

Hello, dear friend
As I was pondering/wondering what to write for this week’s message, I opened my Bible to the Psalms. My favorite psalm of all time is Psalm 84, and I thought I might find words of hope from it. But as I glanced over the pages, I noticed the sub-heading for Psalm 82—A Plea for Justice. It’s only eight verses, so I am going to share all of the King James Version below:
God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods.
How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked? Selah
Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked.
They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness;
All the foundations of the earth are unstable.
I said, “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.
But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.”
Arise, O God, judge the earth; for You shall inherit all nations.
With all of the news focusing on America’s judicial branch of government, from the local to the national level, I could not have orchestrated this moment, this Psalm. We desperately need God’s justice. We have seen enough of a combination of man’s corruption and satan’s diabolical perversion of justice.
While the abortion issue is front and center right now, we need justice in all areas of life—the righteous justice coming from our Righteous God to a nation who has in many aspects forsaken the God of the Bible.
This week, let’s cry out for the Lord’s holy and righteous justice, and ask for his righteous judgments to fall on every judge, from the least to the greatest, that they may all come into truth, righteousness, and victory!
