Feed on His Faithfulness!

Hello, dear friend

Have we ever lived in times like these? A world seemingly spinning out of control. Evil apparently overcoming good. Unspeakable acts committed against the most innocent. Who would have imagined even thirty years ago what is now commonplace in the streets? A bigger question? How do we as believers in the Most High God choose to walk and live in the Spirit?

As I pondered this message, I sensed the Lord saying, “Feed on my faithfulness.” And I realized that is the answer. His faithfulness. His steadfast, solid, immovable faithfulness. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego fully relied on God’s faithfulness. David sang of the Lord’s faithfulness. Moses repeatedly reminded himself of Jehovah God’s faithfulness. Hebrews 11 is full of saints who believed in the faithfulness of Almighty God.

Because of the obvious ills of our culture, we will find ourselves in situations that we can’t anticipate and don’t expect. Caught off guard, it’s easy to react out of pain, anger, fear, or any number of negative responses. However, by feeding on the faithfulness of God, we will be able to stay the course regardless of what we see with our natural eye.

I want to share a few verses about his faithfulness (All verses are from NKJV):

Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. (Psalm 36:5)

Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. (Psalm 37:3)

Also with the lute I will praise You— And Your faithfulness, O my God! To You I will sing with the harp, O Holy One of Israel. (Psalm 71:22)

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations. (Psalm 89:1)

And the heavens will praise Your wonders, O Lord; Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the saints. (Psalm 89:5)

O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. (Psalm 143:1)

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:23)

I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the Lord. (Hosea 2:20)

What powerful words to strengthen us in these days! No wonder the Lord is encouraging us to feed on his faithfulness. What does that actually look like? Meditating, praying, singing, worshiping, fellowshipping—I’m going to feed on God’s faithfulness this week with every breath I take. I hope you will join me, and together we can feast on the faithfulness of our Great and Marvelous God!

Asking the Lord to help me remember the past times where He has been faithful, and to call on those you trust with speaking His word back to me. I have been stretched these past months, but by His grace, the Word, and worship, it has help me trust Him more.

I love the thought of his faithfulness to the clouds, in the trees, surrounding me every day. When I write down my all that I am thankful for every day, I feel overwhelmed by His love watching over big problems and small ones. He is the one who knows all our pieces; I want to know His!
