Monday's Message of Hope

Hello, my dear friend!

We have all heard the phrase “Monday morning blues” and maybe even experienced them. Yet, that is in stark contrast to what God says in His word:

 

Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Selah (Psalm 68:19, NKJV)

 

Imagine! The God of our salvation doesn’t only want us in heaven; He wants to pour benefits into our lives. The world offers temporary ones like those connected with jobs or relationships. But His benefits carry eternity in them, designed to bless us, encourage us, help us, provide for us, protect us.

What do they look like? They might be tangible, such as a friend buying lunch. Or they might come from the unseen realm in instances when peace abounds in the midst of a chaotic day. However they arrive, we can be assured that these heaven-sent benefits come from the hand of God.

And He wants to heap them on us now. Not weekly, not monthly, not annually, but every single day. This is our God—always looking to give us hope. That’s a far cry from starting the week with the blues.

As you go about your Monday, think on this: You have a God who cares about you so much that He daily looks for ways to give you His benefits. What a great hope we have in Him!

  • Can you share any of these benefits with others?

He woke me up this morning with a sense of His Presence. After a wonderful time in the Word He walked with me to work. Beautiful sunshine as I look out my window.

Yes, it is a great reminder to 1) put on Christ (His attributes), fruit, etc. 2) His power, authority 3) He carries our burdens 4) appropriate His promises, 5) and to fully understand His Word salvation and share with others who need our encouragement.
