Monday's Message of Hope

Hello, dear friend
This Resurrection Sunday turned out to be a surprise from start to finish, with some bumps along the way. Change of venue for a sunrise service that I didn’t find out until after the fact. A friend’s phone losing service at 6:00 am resulting in no way to contact her. Two hours of sleep the night before. A lost phone on a country road. Yet God’s grace, favor, and anointing surrounded every moment.
Surely the Lord’s disciples felt the same way during those terrible, yet glorious, three days. Their king hung on a cross instead of sitting on a throne. The Anointed One of God buried in a tomb instead of ruling the nation. The Miracle Worker scourged with 39 stripes instead of standing in victory. Yet God’s grace, favor, and anointing surrounded every moment.
How?
Because before the foundation of the world, Jesus was already crucified. God’s grace, favor, and anointing rested on the Savior of the world to fulfill his purpose, which was to lay down his life and allow himself to suffer the horrific torture of crucifixion and all that led up to it. When Jesus breathed his first breath, the pages of his book had already been written. He just walked them out every single day with God’s grace, favor, and anointing.
While the vast majority of Christians don’t suffer horrendous cruelty for bearing the name of Christ yet, we do have a cross to carry and good works to accomplish. Let’s choose to pick up our cross and walk with God’s grace, favor, and anointing and fulfill the pages of the book already written about us—the good works God prepared beforehand.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10, NKJV)
